The challenge
Following government directives regarding social care records and as part of a council-wide information management strategy, LCC needed to find an integrated solution for the management of its information assets – both paper-based and electronic.
The solution
LCC chose leading consultancy Morse as its delivery partner along with its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution Wisdom. Implementation was carried out by an in-house team with full support from Morse.
The benefits
A comprehensive Morse skills transfer enabled LCC staff self-reliance and avoided costly cultural change and user training exercises. By seamlessly integrating Wisdom with existing LCC business systems, Morse also minimised council downtime. The 1,200 users feel more productive, due to less time spent finding and filing information, and most staff feel better informed about their clients. Inter-team and cross-council communication has also improved.
