Corporate Governance
Training and Development Agency
Over the past few years the public sector has had to negotiate a number of legislative requirements and best practice recommendations ranging from the Freedom of Information Act through to the Gershon report. As a non-departmental public body (NDPB), the TDA has been impacted by all of these and has had to make changes to the way it works in order to ensure it is compliant with the guidelines.
Good corporate governance has been key to achieving this and the TDA recognised that whilst investment in new IT systems was inevitable, they wanted to ensure that the benefits would be realised across the organisation - both in the short and long term - rather than implement a quick fix.
The TDA believed that a good document records management (DRM) system would help future proof the organisation and implemented Wisdom.
