Online solutions for frontline policing
Information access and distribution is a key consideration for any modern enterprise. The development of remote collaboration technologies means that this information can be made available from almost anywhere.

For example, today's police forces are obliged under the Freedom of Information Act to provide public online access to unclassified documents. Also there may be a requirement for officers in the field to access sensitive material over the Criminal Justice Extranet (CJX). Morse's expertise and range of products can help modern policing with all of its information management needs.

Seamless integration
The Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO), has successfully delivered a national portal system that includes all ACPO /ACPOS forces, and British Transport Police.

A key design principle within Wisdom’s application architecture is providing all functionality via a SOAP web services interface. This integration can be achieved by:

• Customising the supplied web interface and integrating those pages into the intranet
• Calling the services directly from the portal and displaying any results in custom pages
• Dropping the application components into placeholders within the portal

The Wisdom Advanced Workflow and Integration Engine enables complex approval and release processes to be automated, and even orchestrated across a number of systems. This can be implemented in almost any way, including XML transactions, TCP/IP sockets, web services and text file interchange.
